Cold Plunge

Cold plunging in a lake might be stretching the nature walk theme, but I couldn’t pass up writing about this experience. Try it sometime, hot tub to cold lake. Enjoy the poem.

Dawn soaking up the cold of lake Woahink at the Oregon coast.

Cold Plunge

Initial shock

Still and patient

Intimate with raindrop circles

Feel subtle water movement

Float suspended

Quiet of the peuter lake

Lungs release stress

Wave of calm

Mind follows body

Minutes pass

Immersed in peaceful

One with loon and otter.

Stand up shock of cold air

run to towel wrap.

Energized for the day.
