Day five poetry writing month and an interesting word pairing for our prompt. Two poems started forming in my mind. One meaning of Soul is the spiritual one. The other, funk soul and soul food. I loved the Southern cooking at Papa’s Soul Food Kitchen in Eugene, Oregon until Papa died and the restaurant closed. Here’s to Papa for both meanings of the word Soul.
