Day 9 of National/Global Poetry Writing Month (AKA NaPoWriMo). Tarot card prompts
The Goddess Tarot by Kris Waldherr was my first deck. I found it at an estate sale and loved the energy it carried from women who used it before me. This project has to have several Goddesses so here is the first, Tara, the Beginnings card. Notes: Tara is a Tibetan Goddess. The beautiful fairy doll was made by my friend Joan. Enjoy the poem!

Innocence of heart and mind
protects.
Twirling through the morning fog
fears disperse when Tara enters.

She is happiness and harmony
granting you power of attraction
wishes come true
belief and action.

the mountain view
seeing the distance
hope of future
she is healer of sorrow.

New beginnings
enough for every tree in the valley
enough for every day
to rise above the fog.
