High Priestess – 7 Tarot NaPoWriMo

This card is from a friend and Healing arts practitioner, Madam Eliza,  who is an intuitive Tarot card reader (she offers Reiki, Guided Meditation, Hosting of Women’s Circles, and in-home plant care and guidance). Liz says this is her favorite card and gave me some interpretations to inform the poem. Thank you, Liz.

Day 7 of National/Global Poetry Writing Month (AKA NaPoWriMo). Card from The Druid Craft Tarot Deck by Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm, illustrated by Will Worthington.

Note: in my view, there is divine feminine and divine male in us all. They are complementary forces.

High Priestess

High Priestess
We are the temple,
divine feminine within.
Open to inner knowing
the quiet space between
pillars of destruction and creation.
Our moon intuition,
tapping into ancient wisdom within,
waxing and waning energies reveal
mysteries within.
Our dream intuition
listen, remember, understand within.
A lifetime of discovering our innerworld
before entering the otherworld
through both destruction and creation – death.
We are the High Priestess
profound and sacred.
Seek to know within.
