Sunset Hawaii

Poems from Paradise, Hawai’i, the Big Island. Sunset is one of those transporting events, even more so in paradise. It makes me smile how many of my 445 photos are of sunset. Enjoy the poem and please watch a sunset where ever you are.

Sunset Hawai’i

Breeze inland
Ocean surface
like stiff meringue peaks.
Tropical raindrops.
Chattering palm louvers.
White spray splash.
Wind whips
as sun sinks
emblazoned on the fisheye horizon
slashing orange
on the edge.
Vestiges of day
sinking
