A Good Ol’ Moon Soak

We had clear sky for the full moon last night. Moon crept around the house until directly shining in the window where I sleep. It is incredible how bright and big moonlight can be. The Christmas poem “The Night Before Christmas” describes moonlight on snow as giving “the luster of mid-day.” It’s a softer light though. A healing, healthy light. With a smile on my face, I enjoyed that moon for hours. Enjoy the poem and the moonlight for the next couple of nights.

Moon Soak

A Good Ol’ Moon Soak

Stretched out to my cat length
awake in my sleeping spot
the moon and I eye to eye
the warmth of that full wolf moon
spread over me like melting butter.
I breathe and let the luster soak in
pushing out emotional mud
leaving a laundered soul
full of élan vital
and ready to look for the nectar in life.
