Birch

Valentines day is smack-dab in the middle of winter here in Wisconsin, U.S.A. What a perfect time to snuggle with your Valentines. I say Valentines plural to count ourselves as our own Valentine as well as all of our loved ones. Love is beautiful and winter with its home-fires a time to invest in our relationships and self love.

This poem was inspired by these snuggling trees and a “thread” of research I pulled by looking up the symbolism of birch. (The sideways “T” is the first letter of an old alphabet. The letter is birch.) Enjoy the poem and snuggle up dears.
