Mountain Spirit

A delightful ski weekend in Oregon with my family. Mt. Bachelor is the hill I have skied the most. It’s moods and runs were so familiar. Mountains teach me something every time have the audacity to play on these fickle, majestic giants. Enjoy the poem.

Mountain Spirit

Mountain Spirit

Mountain top,
weather master,
fast clouds,
wind shear,
tree tops
in whirlpools of snow.
When the mist halo lifts
we’re close to the sun
harnessing gravity
a ride of mountain stamina
collecting mountain spirit,
healing ions and reverence
knowing mountain is boss
and I am only riding,
vibrating in,
this short life.
