We have the Covid-19 virus in the house. I wrote this poem last night before I knew my test result was negative, no virus. Did the moon juice help me? Well, I was swabbed before the moon therapy, but still, I woke up feeling great. Pictured is the black current, rhubarb, zucchini pie I made in tribute to the sliver moon.
Moon Juice
The moon my bedfellow tonight.
He is soft-lit tonight
a winking sliver
bouncing moon juice
directly to my sleepy eyes.
Lashes heavy
scents of lemon and clove
fill my breath,
my intentional breath
as I let moon love me
and heal me.
It only takes a bit of moon
to fill me.
Lemon, clove, and moon
replace the virus
pushing it through my toes and fingers
gone
and now ready sleep
for moon will take vigil over me
circling me
until by morn
I am well.
Love it and now I want pie!

It is a very tangy pie. Crust is good as always, made with Mom’s lard. Loves, Dawn
