Poetry writing month dedicated to coping and thriving during the COVID-19 pandemic journey.
Last day of Poetry Writing month 2020. A stressful day, distracted, thinking a poem would not come tonight. Once again, nature relaxes me and inspires a poem. The poem brings calm and brings me a good message. Tis the season to green and glow, so we shall.
Green and Glow
Green and glow
the prairie is coming back,
the frogs and crickets rouse.
It is the evening
that precious time of day
riding the scree down from
the mountain into lush valleys.
Green and glow
green and glow.
The does are dropping their fawns,
green and glow,
the yellow warbler calls
“sweet, sweet, sweet.”
Green and glow
I dwell in the spring evening
green and glowing.
