Sky Perspective

Poetry writing month dedicated to coping and thriving during the COVID-19 pandemic journey.

Some hard days at work. Got home today and thought I was too tired to write. So glad I did. This poem helped me pull out of that tiny “me” place into the beautiful big sky. Enjoy the poem and the sky.

Sky Perspective

When you’re thinking only now
when you’re steeped in woe
when you’re feeling caged,
look at the sky.
no cap,
no cover,
just expanse into everything,
ever changing,
eternal.
Your spirit can expand too
into sky,
into that great beyond known.
There is solace in being small
in the presence of all time and space,
being one of many
standing under that same sky
realizing I am not special enough
to be anything but grateful.
