Poetry writing month dedicated to coping and thriving during the COVID-19 pandemic journey.
The words we choose to describe our experiences, make a difference in how we feel about them and in the choices we make next. I have been noticing my words and sometimes I don’t choose the right attitude. Time to work on that.
The Words We Choose
Is there a difference between
safe at home,
shelter in place,
obeying a stay at home order,
being trapped, cooped up, forced from work?
Some call this separation from normal
a vision quest,
an exploration of our consciousness,
a time to remake ourselves, our work, our space
our relationships.
What are we grieving during our exploration?
What do we fear? What is shifting?
Who are we becoming during our exploration?
