Mug of Tea

Poetry writing month dedicated to coping and thriving during the COVID-19 pandemic journey.

Whether you are a tea or coffee drinker, there is something so soothing about a warm cuppa. In the summer, it is a cold cuppa. Tonight it was a cold beer. Maybe it is the liquidness or the ancientness of the ritual. Enjoy the poem and a cuppa something.

Mug of Tea

Mug of tea
because a cup of tea
isn’t enough.
Rivulets of warm
delta of warm
hands warm
heart warms
breath comes easier
breath of steam
lean back
take in
tea is ancient
troubles are ancient
this too shall pass
until then
there is tea.
