Rain is Back

Ha. I wrote this one in March when we had our first rain of the year. It sounded and smelled so fresh. It was like an old friend coming home. The “ha” is that since then we have had two snows. If the old wives are right and it snows three times on a robin’s tail, we got one more snow storm before the rain takes over. It’s all good.

Rain is Back

Rain is back
forgot I missed you
your tinkle and tapping
your circles
and drops that hang and stretch
then let go and plop
your clean smell
and fresh feel on my face
I breath you in
fat breasted like the robins.
Welcome back.
