Ghosts of the Grass

My soul walk this morning sparked so many poems. The dew revealed lots of spider webs in the tall grass. They looked like ghosts in the grass; hence the poem. Enjoy!

so light
so transparent
hidden
stalking
waiting
ghosts of the grass

the dew reveals
their gossamer filigree
shows their eerie haunting
too late
for grasshoppers
are caught in their death nets

as the grasshoppers hollow
the dew dries
and the ghosts
fade back into shadows
