“Love, Sweet Love”

Day 26 NaPoWriMo. It dawned on me this morning, how much love has shown up in this project. The world really does need love, sweet love.

A fellow Polkadot, Kathy, told me the story of her niece Missy. Missy is a social worker. She went on a mission trip to Uganda, fell in love, moved there, and got married. She oversees a program, Amani Sasa, that helps women refuges especially those who have experienced trauma. “Love” is in their mission statement.

Spread love and enjoy the poem my dears.

“Love, Sweet Love”

They say the world runs on money
I say it runs on love
sweet love.
Love is everywhere
if look for it
look for it with your heart.

See love at the airport,
the grocery store, city streets,
farm, wedding barn, country diner,
Monday, Tuesday, every day.

Give love,
receive love
in greater portions,
heaping helpings
of love
sweet love.
