Tea Party

Tomorrow I am hosting a tea party in honor of Grandma Helyn. Sisters and best friends of two generations will come together to eat tea sandwiches and my lavender love cookies off Grandma’s rose china. How perfect that the stamp for day 13 of poetry writing month (Na/GloPoWriMo) is an Alice in Wonderland tea party scene. Enjoy the stamp poem!

Tea Party

Part fantasy
Part meal
Mostly celebration of friendship.

In a world
of bigger, bolder, cheaper,
A tea party
is a chance to be dainty
tiny, finer,
and play with the classy
of a bygone proper era.

Love this stamp and poem. Alice in Wonderland is my favorite, and I do love the throwback to simplicity that a cup of tea brings. Thanks for sharing.
