National Poetry Writing Month 2017

April is national/global poetry writing month. The challenge is to write a poem a day for the entire month.  NaPoWriMo offers community, conversation, and writing prompts.

I decided to use my stamp collection to generate prompts. Over many years, my collection of  interesting stamps has grown tucked into bowls and trinket caches. At the time each stamp was waylaid into my collection, I wrote a word that embodied  the stamp on the back. This word and the stamp picture will prompt this month’s poems.

Wish me luck and enjoy the poems that follow,  a blog post, hopefully, each day.  –Dawn
