When you can’t take it any more…do some laundry

When you just can't take it any more do some laundry
When you just can’t take it any more…do some laundry

one of those days
when work is work
and the office building is sinking
into a bubbling radioactive cesspool

go home and do some laundry

with a glass of wine.

Wash away the toils
and grease of spoilers.
dry the wet blanket mico-managers.
scrub off the unwanted attention
from bad-breath guy.
rinse away the desk germs
and computer static.
tumble away traffic
and shuttering florescent stick lights.

Ahh, then breath in the fresh warm clean
of dryer cured fabric
and put on the jammies and delicates
you never wear to work,
a lacy pink demi bra
under fleecy jam jams
with no undies.
More wine please.

  1. I can totally relate. The wine I mean. And the jimmy jams. But not the lacy bra. Scrubbing away the pain of the working day, just to face it anew and refreshed…..definitely need more wine! Enjoyable piece.
