Do nothing

Do nothing

Do nothing

“People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.”
― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

today is a fluff day,
a me day,
a nothing productive day

just snacks
eaten whenever I’m hungry

my schedule is simply white
not even pencil marks to mar the page

I won’t be there for troubled friends
or baby sitting or social events,
my phone is resting too

the windows are open,
sunshine and a cool breeze
are my quiet companions

the day will be what the day will be,
light and airy and full of sweet nothingness

maybe I’ll write a poem
and maybe I won’t

mostly I’ll just ponder and wander
letting thoughts flow through me
without giving them much mind.
