Fear attracts snakes

Fear attracts snakes

Fear attracts snakes
for Kala

The desert may take advantage of fear.

Desert has its rules.
Rocks are the lairs of unsociable creatures.
Cacti are not friends with outstretched arms.

You own no domain or hidey hole,
Nature owns all.

When we fear the rattle snake,
when we are distracted by our fear,
the snake curls himself at our door step,
he naps in our path,
and he wanders into our psyche.

But when we grab our walking stick
and step out into the desert,
when we listen to our intuition
and back away from hissing rattles,
the snakes slither away
and the desert blooms.
