Moon pulled swells
skid into sand
tumbling over themselves
in bubbling white,
white sheared off by wind
going out to sea
as the cresting wave
flashes aquamarine then
flattens like foil across the beach.

Ocean washing over me
I am swept away by your lovemaking
We are one
sea and salt and crash and roar
until we come to rest
spread breathless across the forgiving sand.
